Bezwada Wilson comes from an infamous lineage of Safai Karamcharis (Manual Scavengers), a people who have been subjugated to marginalisation, exploitation and poverty for centuries. Bezwada who founded the Safai Karamchari Andolan speaks about the failures experienced by the organisation in their fight against this paradigm, their struggles and corrective measures taken, and the larger failure of the nation in bringing this community justice.
